Received my iMac 24 "2.93 GHz processor from Amazon about three weeks ago. A as many have said" just works. "Installed and running in about 10 minutes (after recording) of the plug-in. Simply beautiful screen, fast response times and extremely short startup and shutdown. As you can probably say I'm an old Windows user - from from Windows 3.1. I have some in my past Apple: Apple IIe uses a (pre-Mac) in college (a very nice car), then bought a PowerBook 140 in the early '90s (the first "real" laptop). Both the cars were great user interfaces that made computers 'fun'. But for the office (and home), Windows PC ruled my story, ergo with Microsoft systems. However, the experience of the iMac to a new level - like going from a Yugo to a BMW (M Series for Mac Pro owners). I also have iWork to Word and Excel compatibility worked super and so far (seems to work better than the real one). that OS X is based on Unix is my great confidence in the system stability and security (one extra Benny is that these useful Unix commands like grep and search can be executed in terminal mode). All-in-all iMac is fast, clever and visually stunning - you will not be never back …
