This is a good entry-level system, if the graphics are sub-par. Do not even think of buying something less powerful than the system or upgrade next year.
I really suggest trying to get a 2GHz G5, but 1.8 is good enough, if you're on a budget. 512 MB of RAM is good and the hard drive has plenty of space. But the graphics are disappointing: 64 MB GF5200? Graphics card with a value card! 128 GF5600 is the minimum * * You should go with (if they ever hope to play Doom3).
