The way this thing was designed, I think it might be what you want to be. E 'portable enough to move easily from room to room. E 'powerful enough for the average person to use it as a desktop computer. And the touchscreen is fun.
I would prefer a wireless keyboard. The only one who is in the beautiful and works well, but is tied to the computer the wire is a pain.
N. optical drive. It is not a problem for me, I have an external one, and it is as simple as "plug and play installation as I want to use. But it may be a consideration for anyone else before you buy.
Touchscreen software is quite good, but the little "pop-out bar on the side can be incredibly boring. I think I used to work around it.
On the head, the installation is surprisingly simple. It took about 1 minute to connect to my wireless network. E 'was much easier to configure your new computer I've ever seen.
The selection of the software loaded is really great. This is a nice change and I think some of the programs more than I expected. Of course, since it runs XP, can other programs that I want to upload.
So, in general, are happy with the Eee Top. I would recommend.
