Apple have come up with something really special with the MacBook Air. At only a shade under 2cm thick at it’s widest point, weighs a petite 1.36kg yet incorporates a (relatively) huge 13.3″ screen. The screen itself is has a 1280×800 resolution as well as LED technology which leads to longer battery life.
The large screen also means a large keyboard which is very nicely spaced out and easy to use. It lends itself well to prolonged typing, even more so than a PC.

The best bet when buying a computer is to spend more towards the high-end of the computer spectrum, but not the highest. The performance improvements on the top models compared to those just below it do not justify the extra costs. By saving the money now, you can save money to either upgrade or even replace the computer in several years. For desktop computer systems, a good price point is between $1,000 and $1,250 including a monitor. Laptop systems are a bit more expensive so expect to pay between $1,500 and $2,000.

I bought this product few months ago to use as wall display RSS information to drive in an old flat panel. E 'rock solid, without any problem or need to restart the wireless connection.
E 'virtually noiseless and incredibly small. The only way out is the price point is a bit 'high. If the price goes down, I could use more of these specialized applications standalone.
